Skin Rejuvenation

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is a safe, minimally invasive procedure that help boost healing, regeneration and growth. It’s often used to treat injured tendons, ligaments and muscles. PRP Therapy is also done in cases of hair loss which helps promote and maintain hair growth. It is also done on the face to increase the collagen production to enhance the skin’s texture and appearance. Also known as “Vampire Facial”.
PRP is a concentrated solution derived from your own blood that contains a high concentration of platelets, which are rich in growth factors and other proteins that promote cell renewal, collagen production and tissue regeneration.
The PRP Therapy on the face is beneficial to people who have fine lines, wrinkles, signs of aging skin, sun damage or scars. By placing PRP back into the skin, cell proliferation is encouraged along with release of growth factors that promote regeneration underneath the skin. This new collagen gives a healthier and younger looking skin. PRP works on the texture of the skin and as a result, the skin will look tighter, more supple and smoother.
Blood consists of approximately 55% plasma (liquid component) and 45% formed elements including: Erythrocytes (red blood cells – RBCs), Leukocytes (white blood cells – WBCs) and thrombocytes (platelets). Platelets play a role in the clotting of blood and they contain cytokines and proteins that promote growth, healing and rejuvenation. Platelets are known to release high quantities of growth factors such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and β2 (TGF-β2), fibroblast growth factor (FGF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and insulin-like growth factor (IGF), which stimulate cell proliferation, matrix remodelling and angiogenesis.
PRP Therapy is an autologous preparation of platelets in concentrated plasma. Hence, there are no side effects and also no risk of contracting any communicable disease because it involves injecting your own blood back into your face.
The effects of PRP therapy appear gradually over a period of few weeks to months.
Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC) Therapy is a safe, minimally invasive advance procedure that help boost healing, regeneration and growth. It uses special substances called 'growth factors' from your blood to address the skin issues effectively.
GFC Therapy has a higher concentration of growth factors when compared to PRP. The effectiveness of PRP and GFC therapy vary from person to person.
